A few months back I purchased the Sims 2 Free time Expansion pack, I have tried to download it several times, and it still will not work.
Everything is fine until it says ';What type of user are you?'; so, I click this: Typical user: Default directory, and when i clicked next it said, ';Are you sure you want to quit installation? Yes or no'; so I chose the next choice: Advanced User- Select directory, I clicked it and hit next, and it said the same thing. So I changed the directory to every one I had, and it said the same thing, except for one it said: The drive you have specified is invalid or non-existent. For a few it said: Cannot install to the selected directory, because it may cause the system to become unstable.

do you already have Sims2 installed? FreeTime is an expansion, and can only be installed if you already have Sims2. If you do have Sims2, I'd look on EA's tech support page.

How to change the ';Save in'; directory?
I need to download WoW to my PC but i have only 5 GB free in C disc but i have 178GB free in D disc so to be able to download it i need to change the downloading location from C disc to D disc where i have enough free space.....is this possible.....If not plz tell me some other way ?!?!?!?!How to change the ';Save in'; directory?
Sorry don't use WoW but while installing if it isn't obvious where it will install to (and give you a path to edit) then there is probably a button or check box that lets you select default or a custom install. Look at the custom install and just change the target path.

I wish to know because i need to install 'phpnews' and step 3 says:
';Now CHMOD this directory 775 or 777 during the installation to enable PHPNews to write a settings.php file. Change it back after the install. ';

If you do not have access to a control panel, you will need to SSH in to the Linux server. If you're not sure how to SSH, see this article:

Once connected, you will want to run the following command:
chmod 777 /path/to/directory
Then to set it back, run the command again changing the 777 part to whatever the permissions were previously. If you want to check the permissions before running the command above, run the following via SSH:
ls -lah /path/to/directory
This will give something like drwxr--r--. To decode what that means, see the following URL:

The downloaded offline web pages keep going in my hard drive. I need the downloaded pages to go direct onto my external drive. Already downloaded the program in my external drive and changed the root directory go onto the external drive. But the pages are still loading on my C/ drive.
