Active Directory name change?

A user has gotten married and wants her login and email to be her new last name. How can I change this without setting up a new accout?Active Directory name change?

Create an mailbox on the excahnge server with the new address. exmerge mailbox contents from the old address to the new address. Point users account at the new address.

go in AD

Find her name

Right click server blahblah.local or whatever it is

once the name is found

right click change name



Her login will change also and you are going to have to tell her
For email address, add an smtp alias with the new email address.

Make the new address as the primary address so that the all the mails which user send will use the new address.

As we are not deleting the old address, user will be able to receive the mails in her old mail addrss too.



Login and Details, change in Active Directory users and computers.
