How do I change the default game directory in Windows XP?

How do I change (c:\username\My Games) to say, (c:\username\Media\Games)?

Not the installation folder. The area where savegames and settings are often stored. For instance... when I play Rise of Nations, it creates a folder within ';c:\username\My Games'; with user settings and savegames... I want to organize my files differently. I do not want ';c:\username\My Games';. At the same time, I do not want to ruin my savegames.... Is there any way to change this directory? How do I change the default game directory in Windows XP?

When you change the location of a folder, the registry must also reflect those changes.

Backup your saved games to a temporary folder. Uninstall the game.

When you re-install the game, you must enter the new path (Choose Custom Install). to c:\username\Media\Games\Rise of Nations

Copy your saved game files into the new folder.
